Seddon investing in apprentices

Seddon hope to invest in 31 apprentices this year and take the second step in the process by offering the potential apprentices a residential week in York. Each lucky individual will have passed the initial selection interview and are then invited along to a 5 day residential selection process at Ashkam Byran College.

The week will be a great opportunity for the apprentices to find out more about Seddon Property Services and each individual will have plenty of chances to shine as there will be ongoing assessment throughout the week of activities. Seddon are looking for potential and a commitment to succeed through team working, good time keeping and the ability to follow instructions.

The week's activities will be a mixture of:

Presentations(company history, market sector, customer care, quality, product knowledge and hearing from ex apprentices)
Training (Manual handling / Working at heights / Ladder / tower / scaffold / Fire awareness)
Mock CSCS Tests
Team building activities

Helena Shone from Seddon said,
"We hope that the delegates will find this a really valuable experience and anticipate that we will be able to offer all 31 delegates an apprenticeship place. As a result of the residential week we will know more about our apprentices and they will start the job understanding more about Seddon along with having their core Health and Safety Training in place. We want to invest in these young people as they are our future supervisors and managers."
